World Renowned Composer and Pianist Michael Hersch Scheduled to Attend American Documentary Film Festival.

Screening of THE SUDDEN PIANIST
to be Accompanied by Rare Public Performance by Hersch.

Filmmaker Richard Anderson’s remarkable documentary, THE SUDDEN PIANIST, provides an intimate portrait of world renowned composer and pianist Michael Hersch. Widely considered to be among the most gifted composers of his generation, Michael Hersch continues to compose music of tremendous power and invention that is performed to great acclaim all over the world.

THE SUDDEN PIANIST captures the artist's music making with never before seen or heard footage of Hersch performing his own work at the piano - from his debut to the present day. There are also rare interviews with Hersch throughout the film. Perhaps most amazing of all, Hersch, who generally shuns public performances, plans to not only attend the screening with Anderson, but also participate in a Q&A, and perform live on-stage. The American Documentary Film Festival screening of THE SUDDEN PIANIST will take place at the Camelot Theatres on Sunday,  April 7th.
